About In-home Hospice Care

When a person’s life expectancy is six months or less, he or she may start our in-home hospice care. You and your loved one are at the point where you have accepted that the terminal illness will not be aggressively treated or cured and are just looking for ways to provide comfort and support. We will work with you and your loved one’s physician to give special end-of-life care which usually includes:

• Medical services
• Housekeeping services
• Social services
• Bereavement and spiritual counseling
• Speech, physical, and occupational therapy

Specific duties include and are not limited to:

• Managing medications
• Doctor assessments
• Monitoring vital signs
• Assisting with bathing and dressing
• Escorting patient to doctor's appointments
